This week, the Israel Swimming Championship for Special Olympics athletes was held.

The championship was organized by Hadas Handler, a certified sports therapist who oversees the Sports Therapy Clinic for individuals with special needs.

A total of 120 swimmers with cognitive and communication disabilities participated in the competition. Between events, they received sports therapy treatments at a dedicated station set up for the event. These treatments significantly aided the swimmers’ recovery between sessions, and the therapy team provided recommendations on how to proceed during the competition.

Thanks to Michal Koziel for managing the station and providing treatments with exceptional professionalism and dedication; the swimmers left feeling happy!
