Teaching Areas

Language abilities and literacy in school age. Reading acquisition and spelling acquisition. Assessment of language, reading, and learning skills during school years.

Research interests

Research examining the development of language abilities and literacy among typically developing populations and other groups (such as individuals with reading disabilities, learning disabilities, and children from low socioeconomic backgrounds). The studies focus on linguistic skills, reading acquisition, reading comprehension skills, and spelling abilities.
