On July 11, during the “Conference on Cochlear Implants and Other Implantable Technologies” held in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Dina Wechsler-Kashi presented a podium lecture and a presentation on how bilingual speakers perceive noise-encoded speech.

“Bilinguals’ speech perception of noise vocoded speech”

Research conducted in the Department of Communication Disorders at Ono Academic College compared noise-encoded speech perception abilities among Hebrew-speaking monolinguals and Russian-Hebrew-speaking bilinguals across various signal-to-noise ratios. The study generated significant interest and was selected for presentation in a podium lecture during the feedback session before poster submissions.
