Yarden Vatikay is a lecturer in communications and using information as a tool for building national resilience and personal security. Vatikay recently completed his tenure as head of the National Information Office at the Prime Minister’s Office, where he served from 2008-2019. He joined the firm “Benyahu Consulting and Strategy Ltd.” Serving as the strategic advisor of Avi Benayahu, former IDF spokesman and commander of IDF Radio.
From 2003 to 2008, Vatikay served as Director of Communications and Information of the Jewish Agency and the World Zionist Organization. From 2001 to 2002, he worked as Communications Adviser to the Minister of Defense. Between 1996 and 2001, he served as IDF Spokesman, and between 1995 and 1996, he was assistant to the Prime Minister’s Communications Adviser. Vatikay was the winner of the “Roaring Lion” Public Relations Award 2013 for the explanatory assessments of President Obama’s visit to Israel. In 2007, he won the “Roaring Lion” PR Association Award for Campaign of the Year.
