Ono Academic College starred this weekend in the Serbian media, which has been extensively covering the opening of the Jewish-Serbian Center for the Study of Common Heritage at Ono.
The center opened last week at a ceremony on Ono’s campus in Jerusalem. The Serbian Ambassador to Israel and the Israeli Ambassador to the Balkans took part in the ceremony. Ono participants included: Prof. Tova Hartman, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. David Biton, head of the School of Jewish Studies, Prof. Revital Sela-Shayovitz and Dr. David Sorotzkin. In addition, a delegation of 50 scholars and researchers from Belgrade University and representatives of the Jewish Federation of Serbia arrived. The National Opera singer of Serbia sang the national anthems of both countries.
