Tish’a B’Av TED Talks on Personal and National Redemption

Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom, the Director of Ono’s International Center for the Study of Ethiopian Jewry, discussed the approach of Beta Yisrael (Ethiopian Jews) to the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, Tish’a B’Av. In a program entitled, “Personal Redemption and National Redemption” sponsored by Israel’s Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education’s Jewish Culture Department and the Ra’anana Municipality, Rabbi Dr. Shalom spoke on the topic of “From the Exile in Ethiopia to the Built Up Land of Israel”.  Other high-profile speakers at the event included:
