IDF Senior Officer Says “The Path is Wiser than the One Who Walks in It”
Ono Academic College is hosting a lecture by Col. Shai Siman Tov entitled, “The Path is Wiser than the One Who Walks in It.” It will be possible to watch the lecture via the zoom, from Ono’s other campuses
The proverb giving title to this lecture simply describes the wisdom of nature to lead us in different and strange ways to the objects of our desire. At the root of the proverb is the faith in the fact that the paths which many of us have walked, have ended up leading us to our correct path. Even if at times the way seems to have been lost — trust the path.
On July 24, 2014, during Operation Tzuk Eitan, Lt. Col. Shai Siman-Tov, commander of the Golani infantry battalion, was severely wounded when a tunnel collapsed on him. He survived and from that moment onward, this proverb became his motto and through it he actualizes his values of striving for excellence and tackling challenges.
This is not Shai’s personal story, but a story of each and every one of you.
Colonel Shai Siman-Tov was chosen to light a torch at the 71st Independence Day of the State of Israel. Today, Siman-Tov serves as the Chief of Staff of the Military Colleges.
At the end of the lecture, a small reception of sweets and fruits will be held on the School of Music terrace in honor of the upcoming Shavuot holiday.
