Yael Aharonov, one of Israeli womens basketball’s most outstanding players, announced her retirement after 16 years of playing in the Premier League. The 32-year-old Center played most of her career for the Ramat Hasharon team, serving as the captain. In a wide-ranging interview, Aharonov discussed her family’s basketball history, her reasons for retirement, career highlights, the league’s best players and her future plans.
When asked what she will be doing in 5 years, Aharonov answered, “Working at a satisfying job after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Sports Management at Ono Academic College”.
