Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of the Wars of Israel and Victims of Actions of Terrorism

This year, the Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of the Wars of Israel and Victims of Actions of Terrorism falls on April 24-25, 2023.  It is Israel’s official remembrance day for fallen soldiers and security personnel, and recently it has been extended to mark the killing of civilian victims of terrorism. It is marked by lowering the flag to half mast at all public locations, closing places of entertainment and restaurants in the evening, sounding of a siren at 11 am and ceremonies to unite with the memories of the fallen.
