Holocaust Memorial Day 2021

Ono Academic College and its Student Association are hosting a “Memory in the Living Room” event to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.  This non-traditional format, which has increased popularity in Israel in recent years, usually features a more intimate meeting and conversation with a Holocaust survivor, in contrast to the more familiar and larger scale outdoor commemorations.

On the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day, Wednesday 7.4.2021, Ono will host community member and  Holocaust survivor, Mr. Boaz Givon.  In addition to his presentation, the evening will include:

  • Greetings from the campus
  • Musical interlude presented by the students of Ono’s School of Music
  • Chanting of the Memorial Yizkor Prayer in collaboration with the campus Chabad

The ceremony will take place live on campus with limited seating due to COVID 19 but will be broadcast live on the “Ono Student Association” Facebook page for the benefit of the students and the staff of the campus.
