Ono Academic College hosted Israel’s national conference Therapeutic Culinary Arts whose theme was, “The emotional language of the therapeutic kitchen.” Presenters highlighted therapeutic culinary interventions that they developed over the past few years. A particular focus was given to therapeutic culinary treatments for dealing with trauma victims.
During the conference, which was moderated by Ono’s Dr. Ayelet Barak Nahum, the Director of Therapeutic Culinary Arts training, the audience participated in discussions about situations from the therapeutic kitchen and questions regarding how to harness the kitchen to create stability and a sense of personal and community security.
