The events of October 7, 2023 and the war have immediate, short and long-term traumatic effects that touch many aspects of our lives. Since then, the population of the State of Israel has been dealing with a continuous state of shock, the threat of terrorism and collective trauma. Many people from all strata of society experience symptoms of stress, emotional distress and even burnout.
One of the services offered by Ono Academic College’s Trauma Center is group counseling interventions, in order to enable the processing of the experience and the unique situation, increasing resilience, ventilating feelings, reducing distress, speeding up recovery processes, etc.
The Center will hold 6 one-hour group meetings for staff beginning in November at a nomimal cost. The group counseling is conducted out under supervision of a study examining its effects on the participants, while ensuring complete confidentiality.
