Ono Scholar Discusses How Young Women Share Shocking Videos on the Internet
Dr. Efrat Shalvi, a researcher in the fields of communications, gender and society at Ono Academic College, was recently interviewed by Israel TV Channel 12’s Six O’clock with Rafi Reshef News program about the phenomenon of virtual prostitution and pedophilia. She discussed how young women distribute intimate pictures of themselves on the tik tok application for a fee.
They also discussed the fact that many children use the Omegle website and are exposed to pornographic content. Omegle is a free online chat website that allows users to socialize with others without the need to register. The service randomly pairs users in one-on-one chat sessions where they chat anonymously using the names “You” and “Stranger”.
