Ono Student Mission to Czech Republic Welcomed by Jewish Federation and Czech Political Leaders
Ono Academic College sent a student mission to the Czech Republic as part of the Sparkpro international seminar program. The mission was welcomed by Tereza Kotláriková, the Project Manager of the Federation of Jews in Prague. There the Ono students got to know the history and current situation of the Jewish community in the Czech Republic, cooperation between Israel and the Czech Republic and the strengthening of relations between the groups.
Jan Bartošek a Czech politician and member of the Czech Chamber of Deputies met with Ono’s students in the Czech Parliament. He told them that they can feel safe while visiting Prague and don’t have to face prejudice because of their origins. Bartošek said that the rise of antisemitism in Europe is unacceptable. His preference is that across the political spectrum in Czech Republic, all agree to support Israel in its defense against an unprecedented attack by Islamic radical terrorists.
