Ono’s Judaic Studies Program Hosts “Beit Midrash” for Graduates
In these turbulent times we all seek grounding to understand the painful events that surround us.
In this spirit, Ono Academic College’s Judaic Studies Program hosted an academic “Beit Midrash” (Traditional Methods Study Hall) for its graduates. The theme of the study session was, “Destruction, Home and Meaning” and was led by Tzurit Buskila.
Subjects covered included:
- The concept of “A person lives within his/herself”
- The literature of Shay Agnon and and Yehuda Amichai
- The philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas and Martin Buber
- Traditional sources
