Prof. Ephraim Isaac of Princeton Learns the Geez Language Story of Joseph with Ono Beit Midrash

The 6th meeting of the Beit Midrash for the Study of Ethiopian Jewish Religious Texts at Ono Academic College, took place via Zoom. The guest lecturer was Prof. Ephraim Isaac, the Director of the Institute of Semitic Studies at Princeton. He compared the Rabbinic Midrash (Traditional Homiletic Interpretation) of the story of Joseph with the Ge’ez language document on the same subject, the Zena Yoseph, and discussed the importance of discovering and publishing this and other Ge’ez language works.
