Program Highlights

The only academic institution in the country that offers a bachelor's degree in sports therapy.
As part of the studies, professional training certificates are awarded in the following fields: a gym coach certificate, a hydrotherapist certificate and a medical masseur certificate. In addition, an athletic therapist certificate or a therapeutic sports certificate are depending on the specialization.
Graduates of the program will be trained to work with sports groups and associations, sports centers, gyms, therapeutic pools, therapeutic clinics, sports with disabilities, special populations and more.

Sports therapy is a profession that comes to us from abroad and becomes more relevant than ever with the increase in awareness of the importance of sports in our lives and for living a healthy lifestyle.

 

Sports therapy is considered an exceptional therapeutic tool, so as graduates you can make a significant difference in the lives of seniors, those with physical or mental disabilities and many others.

 

Topics of Study include: Physical Education, Early Childhood Movement, Sports Psychology, Orthopedics, Nutrition, Diagnosis and Prevention of Sports Injuries, Anatomy, Developmental Psychology, Child Development, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Play and Movement at an Early Age, Therapeutic Water Professions and more.

I am proud to be the head of the Department of Sports Therapy and to lead the first degree in the country in the field. This is a fascinating field that combines the worlds of therapy and the worlds of sports and came from a real need in the market for sports therapists.

  • The Council for Higher Education has approved the opening of the program. The award of the degree is conditional on its approval.
  • The program has a complete safety net of a bachelor’s degree in education and social studies with training in sports.
  • The program is offered in collaboration with the orthopedic department of Sheba Medical Center.
