About

Prof. Peleg Kobi Specializes in the field of national resilience with a focus on the health system. Prof. Peleg established the National Center for Trauma and Emergency Medicine Research at the Gartner Institute.  In 2005 he established the Department and Program for Emergency and Disaster Management at Tel Aviv University in collaboration with Prof. Shuki Shemer and in 2010 he established the International Program for Emergency and Disaster Management at Tel Aviv University.

In 2008, the program was accredited by the United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination authority, a UN body that brings together disaster management experts from around the world and which helps governments in the event of a disaster coordinate all bodies operating in the disaster area.

In 2017 Prof. Peleg was elected chairman of the board of the World Association of Disaster Medicine.
