Arie Fouren received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Technion, Haifa — Israel’s leading technological university. Since 2001 he has taught in the Faculty of Business Administration and in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Ono Academic College, Israel.
Dr. Fouren’s research interests are distributed algorithms and fault-tolerant computing. He has published in leading journals, including the Journal of the ACM, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Journal of Distributed Computing, and SIAM Journal on Computing. He has presented his research at international conferences, including the ACM Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing (PODC), the International Symposium on Distributed Computing (DISC), and the International Conference on Principles of Distributed Systems (OPODIS).
Dr. Fouren served as a Journal Reviewer for The Journal of Distributed Computing and for The Journal of Association of Computer Machinery (ACM).
He has received three Ono Academic College awards for teaching excellence and Best Student Paper Award at the 14th International Conference on Distributed Computing (DISC2000), Toledo, Spain.
